Suatu hari, iseng-iseng search namaku di mbah google. Surprisingly... and also amazingly, aku menemukan perempuan-perempuan bernama persis sama dengan namaku dengan berbagai profesi.
Pertama, Amalia Suryani the Dancer. Ia berasal dari Pati, Jawa Tengah. Mulai menari sejak umur 7.
Kedua, Amalia Suryani the Musician. Can't say much about her. But, when you click that link, you'll see that Amalia Suryani must be a good artist. Buktinya, ia menjadi staf ahli musik dalam susunan kepengurusan UKM Ligatari Krida Budaya UI.

A Ramadan Dilemma: Fasting While Others Feast
Dateline: Restaurants nationwide
Nobody eats during the day in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn. This might seem like a problem to Jamil Eid, the executive chef at the popular La Shish restaurant, except he's not eating either. Like 40,000 of Dearborn's 100,000 residents, Eid is Muslim.
And, like many of the potential breakfast, lunch, and early supper diners in Dearborn, nicknamed "The Muslim capital of America," Eid is observing the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is a time of prayer during which Muslims must refrain from anger, envy, greed — and from eating or drinking anything during daylight hours. That might seem like a difficult task for someone who works around food all day, but Eid says it's not: "I am happy to do it." The chef wakes up around 5 a.m. for Suhoor, the traditional predawn meal, before going in to work from about 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Then he goes home for Iftar, the festive meal after sundown. Meanwhile, La Shish is filling up with customers, many of whom are there to break their own fasts with dates, fattoush salad, lentil soup, kebabs, and so forth. "We certainly get less lunch business, but we more than make up for it at dinner," says Eid of the month of Ramadan."
The Ramadan fast is meant, in part, to teach patience and self-control, which can be difficult on an empty stomach. "You can't get angry when a customer gives you a bad tip or complains too much," says Amalia Suryani, a waitress at Pinisi, an Indonesian restaurant in New York City. "And because we're not permitted to gossip, we can't talk about it with each other." Pinisi is usually crowded at sundown, so Suryani breaks fast with some water, and waits until after the restaurant empties out around 10 or 11 p.m. to sit and eat with her Muslim coworkers. Suryani says she "feels weaker than on a normal day" during Ramadan but she copes with the long stretches without food by eating a second dinner of some salad and bread at about 1 a.m.
Ramadan concludes with the holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr (which will be celebrated on October 24 by most Muslims this year, though the beginning and ending dates of Ramadan are a matter of some debate). Those observing the holy month will spend the day in mosques before giving gifts and feasting. Suryani says she will celebrate with festive Indonesian dishes such as ketupat sayur, a rice cake served with spicy vegetable soup, and sambal goring hati, spicy fried liver and potatoes. Eid says he will have desserts and fresh juices. After that, in Dearborn, it's back to the daily grind. "After Ramadan, people seem a bit let down," says Ron Amen, manager of the Arab American National Museum. "It's funny, after going all day without food, water, cigarettes, sex, swearing, and gossiping, it's as if we feel guilty for having a cup of coffee and breakfast in daylight."
